Project Definition

As webmaster, I have short, medium and long term strategies for our site .In all of them VRML features pretty heavily. If we are to achieve the objective of turning our community into a truly immersive experience then we will need to put our platform at the forefront of that technology, not just copying and catching up with the SGI gang but actually running past them, setting the agenda ourselves.

Just a quick look through any Amiga publication (and hopefully soon in the Hall of Artists) demonstrates the depth of 3D talent in the community. What we are missing is the horsepower and the tools. Hopefully PIOS, P5, Draco, Eagle and Gateway are going to change that soon. So it comes to the tools.

The deliverables of this project (documents) shall be available to the whole membership and will hopefully form a basis for a discussion sessionand the preparation of a detailed VRML strategy.
